A topic that is always present - the side dishes for steak & co! One of our favourites is grilled tomatoes with yoghurt. It sounds very simple at first, but it is extremely tasty.
The recipe is based on a classic by Otto Lenghi from the book "Simple". The combination of hot tomato and cold yoghurt is just super good. Add a fresh baguette and you have the perfect side dish. That's a promise!
250 gram cherry tomatoes
3-4 sprigs thyme
2 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
1 lemon (zest)
1 tbsp seasoning salt for vegetables
1 tsp cumin
2-3 tbsp olive oil

For the yoghurt:
400 gram yoghurt (high fat content)
1 tsp olive oil
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp steak and BBQ salt flakes
1
Put the tomatoes in a bowl with the other tomatoes and mix thoroughly. Then add to the pan.
2
Prepare the grill for 200 degrees indirect heat by simply switching on the two outer burners on the Monroe Pro. As soon as the temperature is reached, place the pan in the middle (above the switched-off burner).
3
Mix the remaining ingredients with the yoghurt and chill in the fridge or freezer. Once the tomatoes have coloured on the surface, it is time to dress.
4
Spread the cold yoghurt on a plate and pour the hot tomatoes over it. Serve with fresh baguette for dipping. Enjoy your meal!
